Kevin de Bruyne loaned to Werder Bremen

Chelsea's Belgian winger Kevin de Bruyne had joined German club Werder Bremen on a season long loan deal.

The 21 year old winger hasn't yet made his debut for Chelsea.

He joined the Stamford Bridge club in January for an undisclosed fee from Belgium club Genk and was immediately loaned back to his former side.

Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo made the decision to send the player out on loan after watching him play in two of Chelsea's preseason games against Seattle and Paris Saint-Germain in America.

This is a great move for the player as he needs regular playing time to develop and gain some experience and would most probably slot straight into the team as a replacement for former Werder Bremen winger Marko Marin who joined Chelsea earlier this summer.
