Roma striker Fabio Borini is set to join Liverpool and become Brendan Rodger's first signing after Liverpool agreed a deal with Roma.
The fee is reported to be £11 million, although the Merseyside club have refused to disclose how much they paid for the Italian forward.
Borini worked with Rodgers at Swansea City in 2011 as well as at the Chelsea academy. During his time with the Swans he scored 6 goals in 12 appearances.
He moved to Parma on a free transfer after his contract at Chelsea expired before making the switch to Roma.
With Liverpool already having forwards Luis Suarez and Craig Bellamy, Rodgers admitted that he would consider sending striker Andy Carroll on loan, with AC Milan and West Ham United reportedly interested in the England Striker.

•At age 18 he made his senior debut for Chelsea, replacing Nicolas Anelka in the final minute of a 3-0 win over Spurs in 2009.
