Former Wigan striker Hugo Rodallega has joined Fulham on a free transfer. The 26 year old Colombian striker was available on a free transfer after he saw out his contract with Wigan Athletic.
A number of Premier League clubs, including Everton, were interested in signing the striker after he left Wigan who he joined in 2009 from Mexican side Necaxa in a deal worth £4.5 million.
Fulham manager Martin Jol was delighted to snap up Rodallega after he lost out on Pavel Pogrebnyak to Reading, even though the Russian striker spent the second half of the season on loan at Craven Cottage.
Hugo Rodallega will bring a bit of quality to Craven Cottage and add another dimension to their attack and will contribute to the style and philosophy of Martin Jol's Fulham team.
